The latest internet rumor is that actress Zsa Zsa Gabor has passed away, but that is not the case. She was hospitalized Tuesday (Aug. 31) after her husband Prince Frederic Von Anhalt found her unresponsive, but it is not life-threatening, according to TMZ.

Anhalt did call 911 for Gabor and she was taken to the hospital in an ambulance, but the flashing emergency lights were not turned on. We would imagine the hospitalization is a precaution due to her age — the actress turned 93 on February 6.

This is just the most recent in Gabor’s health problems. The Hollywood bombshell took a nasty fall a couple weeks ago and subsequently had to have a blood clot removed. We wish her a speed recovery from her latest hospitalization.

The Federal Police in Mexico presents Edgar Valdez Villarreal, “LA Barbie”

Officials in Mexico stated that the alleged drug trafficker Edgar Valdez Villarreal, nicknamed “La Barbie” has been captured.

Edgar Valdez Villarreal was born August on 11, 1973 in Laredo, Texas. During his time in high school he excelled at football, but soon got bored with that and started to sell Marijuana on the streets of Laredo. He came from an upper middle class family.

Then he worked for the Mexican drug cartel Beltrán-Leyva as an officer. The Beltrán-Leyva Cartel is an organized crime syndicate that was founded by the five Beltrán Leyva brothers: Marcos Arturo, Mario Alberto, Carlos, Alfredo and Héctor. The drug cartel transports and whole-sells cocaine. They also produce marijuana and heroin and control many drug trafficking routes. Aside from that they smuggle humans, launder money, get money through extortion and kidnapping and if somebody does not follow orders or stands in their way they are killed.

The Mexican President Felipe Calderon is currently working on getting rid of drugs and drug related crimes in Mexico. As a result, many drug gangs are scared and are killing each other. So far the efforts were very successful: LA Barbie is the third major drug suspect that had been captured this year.

Multi media personality Glenn Beck who spearheaded the Saturday “Restoring Honor Rally” launched his own online news site: TheBlaze.com. Beck said the news site will cover breaking news and other news worthy topics that have seen little to no media exposure.

Site format is similar to the more popular online news websites such as Huffington Post and The Daily Caller. But unlike the two mentioned sites, skeptics say that The Blaze will allegedly be more biased and lean towards the beliefs and opinions of Beck.

The site went live Monday. The site is edited by Scott Baker who used to be with Breitbart TV. Other staff members include Jon Seidl, Meredith Jessup and Pam Key.

As the net seem to be filled with news about Glenn Beck’s newest business, some sites didn’t think it was that important. Fox News, The Drudge Report and Big Journalism did not publish any article in their sites referring to or even mentioning The Blaze. The Daily Caller posted numerous articles regarding the restoring honor rally, but was a bit mum about the launch except for a short post with a link to the Mediaite piece.

Observers say that this could be due to the fact that they view The Blaze as a worthy competitor in terms of readership and, some say, will also get a big chunk from their advertisers’ budgets.

Followers of Beck’s advocacy for a better America, think of The Blaze as a fitting addition to Beck’s other businesses. They know that with The Blaze, their shared advocacy will be given ample media space without the seeming distortion of facts that they felt some media practitioners did during the Saturday rally.

The success or failure of The Blaze is still too early to predict at this time. The public will eventually be the one to decide whether it will be another ace in Glenn Beck’s long list of successful media ventures or a complete dud just riding on the wave of the 8/28 controversy. Only time will tell if The Blaze is here to stay.

Airline credit cards were designed to help you earn air miles when you use your credit card. The miles can then be redeemed mainly towards airline tickets but most credit card providers partner with other merchants to give you a wide choice of options. Airline credit cards can offer no pre-set spending limit and zero liability on unauthorised purchases which gives you added protection against the fraudulent use of your card should it ever occur.
The annual fee of a card would add to the total cost of maintaining that card as you would have to pay interest on the annual fee as well as the balance on purchases, so be sure to budget for it if your card carries one.
The rate charged on your purchases abroad can add a significant amount on to you card balance but the industry average is about 3%. Airline credit cards that offer no over limit fees ensure that you have one less fee to worry about but late payment fees do apply to most cards so it is in your best interest to always pay your bill on time. Once you shop responsibly and earn your miles, you would be on your way to enjoying free air travel to your favourite destinations.
