Airline Schedule Change
After months of planning for your trip, preparing your luggage, departing early to the airport and when you arrived at the ticket counter you where then advised that the flight has been canceled due to whatever reasons. This is a classic travelerâs nightmare even to those who frequently travel. Most likely than not airline schedule changes do happen.
The airline or travel agency should notify you if there are any minor or major changes made on the itinerary. Some may call or send you an e-mail; this will depend on the media they use to update you with the changes.
Here are some options on how to go about schedule changes.
1. Check with the ticket agent if they have tried re booking you with another flight.
2. If you booked your tickets with a travel agency or with airline reservations, try calling them first on what options you can take.
3. If there are no suitable flights available, the airline may offer you travel vouchers like food, transportation, hotel accommodation and etc. (Note: This will depend on the airline on how they can compensate you. Itâs best to look for a supervisor on situations like this.)
4. If nothing works and all hope is lost you may reschedule for the next day or request for a refund on the tickets you purchased, this again may depend on the airlines policy.
Never-the-less we need to be responsible in reconfirming our travel itineraries before the travel date to avoid possible mishaps.
