If you reside in the south west or you have to travel to the southwest, most of the times you travel through Southwest Airlines. You can take help of the south west airline guide to know all the available flights and the arrival and departure time as well the fares and all the necessary information related to your travel. But to save some bucks and make your travel easier, you need to follow some tips.

1. You should seek for the best fares available for a travel program and because these are very time limited you need to decide fast that which one will be good for you. You can plan in advance for your travel visit and check out the website of the airlines or help guide so as to save many bucks of yours.

2. You can also join the Southwest Frequent Traveler Program whereby if you have to make frequent visits with southwest you can buy tickets for your short trips and use the free tickets that you will earn for your longer and expensive trips.

3. Since Southwest finds that boarding is better and takes less time when they board the travelers in groups, they doesn’t assign seats. You have groups namely A, B and C where A is the best group that gives you a chance to board first. You can also make more seating selection and can also assure a bin for your carry on luggage when you get the A-status. You would get a C- status that will end up you in a middle seat or you have to check your carry on luggage.

4. The pilot of the airlines stands below the Jetway before the incoming flight arrives and you need to queue up before some time the flight arrives. If you stand half an hour before the arriving flight, you should find your place next to a seat in the boarding area but this works when your place in the queue or line happens to be next to a seat.

5. Sometimes you will need to wait to get your pass. You can obtain a pass by paying a small fee to some companies that assist you in reserving your pass in advance.

6. Before the general boarding, children of the age group in between five to eleven who are not accompanied by elders, adults traveling with any child below the age of five and people with physical disabilities are allowed for a pre board. As such, when you make your reservation and check in you should provide your personal or special status.

7. Previously you had to print your boarding pass at home even if it was midnight before you travel but now they have a 24 hour window that provides you with printed boarding passes.

8. You need to weigh your luggage prior you proceed to board in the flight and since there are certain luggage policies you are allowed to carry small personal size briefcase or purse with you and you need to place large items in the overhead bins. In case you had a C status and all the bins are filled up you will have to check your carry on luggage.

9. You should try to reach on time and while you board go directly to your chosen row, set your luggage and sit down instead of chatting with your friends. When the plane fills yup, you can head to back and never backtrack. Don’t carry heavy luggage that you can’t lift up to the overhead bin because at that moment you yourself are responsible for settling down your luggage.

10. You can avail gifts and discounts while you are on the board as you get some discount coupons and can get rapid rewards and credits that you can use in your later travel.

For more information log on to southwest-airlines-guide.info

Airline ticket rates can vary wildly for passengers on the same flight. One person can pay $250 for a seat, while the individual in the next seat may have paid $1000. There are many tactics to help your reservation resemble that of the first passenger, not the latter.
Book your flight as soon as you decide on travel plans. Airlines give discounts for reservations made at least 3 weeks in advance. The best rates often include a Saturday night stay and have travel dates during the work week.
Shop at the many online travel agents to compare the rates of many different airlines. Be sure to check at least 3 different sites, as each may have a different alotment of tickets, and service fees can also vary.
Be flexible about when you travel, since even changing the flight time on the same day can effect the reservation rate. Unpopular early morning or late evening flights tend to have lower rates. Also, try to avoid peak travel season, summer, spring break, and Christmas and New Years. The cheapest fares tend to be found during the off season and at other times when planes are filled below capacity.
If travelling to a large city, Check the fares for any nearby smaller airports, as it might be cheaper to fly into a neighboring city. Remember to allow for other costs when you considering this option, such as rental car or taxi fares. This might also extend travel time.
In some instances, splitting the trip with stopovers my bring savings. However, be sure the savings are large enough to justify the extra trouble of the stopover.
Look into booking your travel plans as a package deal. Sometimes it is possible to save money by reserving a hotel room and a rental car along with the airline ticket. If you are going on a cruise, ask the cruise company if they are affiliated with any airline. Some credit card companies also have discount agreements with some airlines. The reverse is also true : many airlines have agreements with hotel chains and rental car companies that can save you money on other travel expenses.
When dealing with a live travel agent, ask if this is the best rate that they have available or if there are any specials offering essentially the same itinerary when you are booking your reservation.
Apply any special discount programs for which you are eligible. Students age 16 to 26 are can get special discounts, and seniors may be able to get discounted fares through the AARP.
Belonging to, or travelling with a group, may get you a better deal on airline reservations. If you are a member of a club or service association, check whether they have a travel plan. If travelling with a group, ask for a group discount. Discounts are often available for government, military or corporate employees. Often, airlines will even extend these discounts even for non-business travel.
In the case of large groups, it is sometimes cheaper to charter a plane than reserve individual seats. This may save time as well as money, since the charter airplane will accommodate your schedule, and baggage can be managed for the entire group, with much less chance of loss of luggage.
When you reach check-in at the airport, ask if any special upgrade deals are available. Sometimes it is possible to upgrade to first class at a nominal fee, and this is definitely worth it on long flights due to the larger seats and extra leg room.

As we all know, air travel can be expensive. There are ways to earn free air travel, and one of those ways is to use a card for your day to day purchases which earns free tickets or frequent flyer miles on many of the major airlines.

There are two basic types of credit cards that do this. The first is known as an airline mile card. The miles earned can be used for free tickets on over 250 major airlines. Many of these types of cards also allow the credit card holder to cash in their points for other travel rewards such as rental cars and hotel stays.

The second is known as a frequent flyer card. It allows the credit card holder to earn frequent flyer miles on a specific airline and its partners.

For people who are responsible with card debt, getting a card to earn free travel can be a smart idea. For those who are able to pay off most or all of their credit card bill at the end of the month, charging day to day purchases such as groceries, clothing, and gas makes sense.

So the question is, which card is better? An airline mile credit card or a frequent flyer credit card? The answer lies in the needs of the traveler.

If you need flexibility, an airline mile credit card may be the best choice. Since these cards earn points instead of frequent flyer miles, the rewards are not subject to the same restrictions as frequent flyer miles. Also, since the points can be used on a variety of airlines, you aren’t boxed in by the schedule and availability of just one airline.

Some of the airline mile credit cards also allow the credit card holder to convert their points into frequent flyer miles on specific airlines. They can then be added to frequent flyer miles that the credit card holder has accumulated from actual flights and other sources, allowing the traveler to earn free flights more quickly.

The down side of airline mile credit cards is that the rewards may not add up as quickly frequent flyer mile credit cards. Many of them work on a $1 dollar spent = one point system. Since it averages about 24,000 points to earn one free ticket, it may take some credit card users a few years to rack up enough points for a free flight.

If you are a frequent traveler on one specific airline, then a frequent flyer card may be your best choice. Often these cards offer bonus miles just for opening up the credit card account once you’ve made your first purchase. It’s not unusual for the bonus to be 15,000 miles or more which can be added to miles earned from actual flights.

Most frequent flyer cards offer one mile for each dollar spent, but some offer double miles for purchases at specific places. Again, these miles earned can be added to miles earned from flights.

The downside to a frequent flyer card is the limited choices you will have when booking travel. There are often black out dates associated with frequent flyer miles and a limited number of seats available on flights for those redeeming miles.

Whether you choose an airline mile credit card or frequent flyer credit card, it’s a good idea to research all of the terms and conditions including all reward conditions, credit card fees, interest rates and late fees associated with the card before you make your choice.

If you travel a lot of business or you like to travel to a lot of places with your family or even by yourself for pleasure, I hope you’re using an airline miles credit card to go back and forth. If you’re not, I really hope you take the time to read this article so you can better understand how the credit cards actually work.
Airline credit cards are ideal for people who probably make about five to ten trips a year at least. If you don’t make this many then I would say that you shouldn’t waste your energy applying for one unless you want to sign up to take advantage of the free airline ticket. If you do take more than five trips years then you’re already a perfect candidate for this type of card. The next step you’re going to want to take is to start researching.
A credit card that based on airline rewards is a very simple concept. You can either apply for a card that focuses on one airline, which I would highly recommend. The reason I would recommend a credit card that focuses on one airliner is because when you tend to travel with one airliner a lot, they will start to notice and apply to certain statuses. The higher you work your way up the ladder, the more perks you’ll get like complimentary upgrades, tickets, food, etc.
If you don’t want to apply for a credit card that focuses on one airline then you can focus on a travel credit card. These credit cards are more the traveler that wants to save on hotels, airlines, and the whole package. They don’t necessarily work like an airline credit card but they give you points for every dollar you spend that is related to travel. When these points reach a certain point, you’ll be able to cash them in for items, free tickets, hotel rooms, and more.
The difference with an airline credit card that focuses on an airline such as Delta is that you’ll receive a mile for every dollar you spend. This is usually how the industry works but every carrier varies when it comes to dollars to mile rations, what you can redeem, etc. When you rack up enough airlines with the airliner, you’ll be able to redeem them for future flights. The thing you should look out for when you do apply for a card is for a credit card that never lets the frequent flier miles expire. You won’t want get a lot of points and find out they’re all gone when you go to redeem them.
Like any credit card you apply for, make sure that you do your research when applying for a card. Make sure that the airliner you’re applying for is near your home. You won’t want to apply for a card and come to find out that airliner doesn’t even leave your airport. Watch out for the terms, annual fee, and any other terms and conditions. Once you find the right card, apply for it and start saving on your mileage!

Flying has become an increasingly common and convenient way to travel. Whether you frequently travel by air or want to fly to your next vacation destination, airline rewards credit cards can help you out. Read on to learn how airline rewards credit cards work and find some of the best offers available.

Earn the Miles

Airline rewards credit cards come in many shapes and forms, but the majority of them share the same basic principles. Most airline rewards credit cards allot you one mile for each dollar spent. Once you have earned a certain number of miles, you can exchange them for a plane ticket.

Besides earning miles through purchases, many airline rewards credit cards grant you bonus miles when you sign up. They may also offer special deals for you to earn additional miles once you have the card. Some award double points for making purchases at select places, such as restaurants and movie theaters.

Most major airline carriers offer a co-branded card, which is issued in partnership between the airline and a bank or credit card company. These cards allow you to earn additional miles when you purchase plane tickets through them or use their airline partner services, such as hotels and car rentals.

Reap the Rewards

Once you have an airline rewards credit card, you can keep track of the miles you earn on your card statement. Each card company sets the number of miles needed to earn free plane tickets. Usually fewer miles are required to travel domestically, while more are needed for international flights. Some cards allow you to redeem your miles for other items, include hotel stays, cruises, or car rentals.

While the rewards are fantastic, airline rewards credit cards also include certain terms and conditions. Most of them come with a higher interest rate and charge an annual fee. However, if you pay off your balance each month, the travel rewards will far outweigh the fees.

Best Offers Available

It is important to consider your travel interests and lifestyle as you look for the right airline rewards credit card. Is there such a thing as a discount airline ticket? Cheap business class tickets or other air fare specials, everyone wants to book flights cheap, but make sure you do not rush into the first great deal?
Finding airline ticket offers for a bargain can seem a mighty challenge and sometimes impossible. However for the discerning ticket hunter there are indeed some innovative ways that clever shoppers can find really fantastic deals on a cheap online flight booking and if you use the same formulae for other ticket needs such as west end shows, broadway shows and sports tickets.
Getting back to cheap airline tickets, a great place to hunt is online, airline ticket agencies are in abundance. However do not think your travel agent does not have some great deals as well plus you will get the human touch and maybe even a cup of coffee. Depending on your time shopping on the internet should generally yield better results in a much shorter time. Air fare specials are in abundance if you know where to look.
There are numerous travel clubs and discount travel organizations who will try and find you the best prices on airline ticket specials, while providing the customer, the king (that’s you, by the way) the convenience of a one stop shopping portal. Some also offer very generous rebooking possibilities and discounted travel insurance. Hopefully you will find yourself a great deal, I have known people who have ended up with a business class ticket less than 100 dollars. Also consider an airline ticket auction, but do not get carried away!
Before you start make sure you plan your plan and then work your plan. Thoses who fail to plan, plan to fail! I would suggest you go to the airlines first. This is one of the keys to success. Some of the airlines lets you receive late flight deals online or by email and most airlines offer weekly specials that could give you travel specials, dramatically reduced discounted tickets even for a business class ticket.
Other benefits of going directly to the airline website are that they will of course mort certainly allow you to count your flight for airline miles for their airline ticket specials. Always keep your eyes open for third party sites that offer really good deals and can add to the savings you have already found. All the add on such as worldwide travel insurance, travel and hotel for example could be to be much cheaper by them.
Here are some key concept strategies that you can use to ensure the best deals on air fare specials. Firstly and most importantly is that you do your research well in advance. Many people think wait until the last monet to book a discount airline ticket well booking as early as possible is vital to get the best price.
Also if you wait until the last moment it is very possible the flight is sold out . It just requires good timing and some patience. Make sure you remain patient while finding the best deal.
Another thing to remember is very often it is all about timing. To find great deals on flights is to know when to shop for airline ticket specials. Different companies vary in their sales and marketing techniques. For instance some airline companies have their sale beginning on Sunday night. Therefore Monday morning as early as possible is a great time to find airline ticket offers at the very best price. Plane ticket prices can vary considerably based on your flexibility of when you can leave.
Summing up all this information remember to stay organized and patient. There are many emotions and considerations you need to make. Either way whatever you are planning whether it is a worldwide trip or just a local couple of days holiday make sure you enjoy yourselves.
You can also use these techniques to book cheap theatre tickets in London, a discount broadway ticket or concert tickets online. Now you know the pitfalls and pluses, the sky really is the limit!

Air travel has become a norm nowadays especially for those involved in business and international trading. The needs to meet people from other parts of the world makes air travel a must. For a frequent flyer, there is nothing more satisfactory than getting a cheap airline ticket for their entire journey.
Unfortunately for us, the rising trend of people travelling by air gives an opportunity for airline companies to mark up the airline ticket price since they know people will buy it anyway. Fortunately though, the competition between airline companies forces certain companies to give out discounts on airline ticket price every now and then as a marketing strategy to attract customers.
This in turn gives benefit to us. At least the ticket price is not as high as we would expect it to be. The problem is, how, when and where to find all those cheap airline tickets? Sure enough, you would answer : Buy it online, but the Net is like a vast ocean of information and if you don’t know where to go, you’ll be lost without even finding what you’re looking for.
The first thing that you can do to find cheap airline tickets online is go to the airline companies website itself. Most of the time, the price is going to be high since it’s the standard price that they sell to everybody who wants to board their airplanes. However, on certain occassion, you might find special deals made exclusive for customers who book their tickets through the companies’ online booking system.
Although this is uncommon, certain airlines do give out deals every now and then so it certainly worth it to keep coming back to their websites, say once a week. You might hit the jackpot one day, who knows. Deals like this normally sold out quickly so it pays to regularly check for the deals you desire. It is also generally cheaper if you buy it a few weeks or months in advance. So if you can plan your journey well, you’ll save yourself a lot of money.
The next thing that you can do is to go to those travel agencies website and compare their prices. The airline ticket price will vary from one agency to another and they will provide different deals for different destination. If you are a student, you can get even better deals than other people.
Normally, these deals come out during holiday breaks (autumn, winter, spring, summer) as students and most of us spend this time travelling abroad. For international students, these are the times of the year when they have the chance to return to their hometowns so airline tickets will be offered at highly discounted prices at their convenience.
You can also go straight to other travel websites that provide features to search for the best deals on the Net. Normally these websites gather all the information from travel agencies and airline companies websites and compare them to give you the best deal possible according to your specification.
Sometimes since this process is automated, you might not be getting the latest deal from a specific airline company at the time you request the data. Hence you might see a deal from an airline company website not being picked up by the travel websites so it’s good if you can check all of them thoroughly.
In conclusion, there are many websites that you can browse to find the cheapest airline ticket for your journey. You just have to know the place to find one. Once you get the hang of it, finding cheap airline tickets for your subsequent journey would be a breeze. The key thing is to make extensive research and compare prices to get the best deal possible.
