Long ago in a galaxy just a few days ago Star Wars: Clone War Adventures was officially released by SOE. Clone Wars Adventures enables players of all ages to play alongside their favorite characters from the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated TV series. The game features characters like Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, and more. Developed and published by SOE, creators of the successful title Free Realms, Clone Wars adds to their expanding Free-to-play catalog and family friendly titles.
Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures features parental controls to help make gaming safe for your children. (As a parent this is something I place a high value on) While the game is free-to-play there is an optional Jedi Membership available to open a wider scope of choices. SOE’s cash shop returns as well, giving player access to other items in the Star Wars Universe.
This game will truly appeal to fans of the Star Wars: Clone Wars cartoon series, allowing kids to continue the fantasy while waiting for the next episode to air. From dueling iconic characters to building their own custom lightsabers, players will find an entire universe unfolding in front of them. Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures offers several options including minigames like Droid Programming and Speeder Bike Racing, players will also have the option to own houses and build Droid pets.
The retail version will be available this fall at thousands of retailers offering a 90-day membership, 500 station cash to spend on your character and their house, the ability to unlock the Togruta playable character, a Yoda monitor topper, and more to be announced.
Having sampled the game a bit myself I can see the appeal for those who are avid fans of the Clone Wars. With its mini-game style play the player base for this will grow easy and keep people entertained for some time.
