Tiny & T.I. arrested in West Hollywood for Sizzurp and Ecstasy?
Rapper T.I. has been arrested on drug charges in West Hollywood. The recent star of the hit film “Takers” apparently was discovered with a certain “purple drank” however there were also reports of marijuana, ecstasy and other methamphetamines involved.
According to TMZ, which also shows crime scene photo evidence, the cupholders in the car he was in have styrofoam cups which all contained codeine syrup aka “Sizzurp” which is also known as “Purple Drank.” Both T.I. and his wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle were arrested for possession of a controlled substance. TMZ reported “the class of controlled substance that triggered the arrest includes methamphetamines and ecstasy.” Still, the arrest has many wondering about “sizzurp” and what it is exactly.
Apparently, the purple drank, codeine, is a growing problem in the south, but a “thing” in the hip-hop community, TMZ reports. So now TI and his wife Tiny are charged with a felony possession of a controlled substance.
T.I., real name Clifford Harris, Jr., is a recent star of “Takers” a crime action drama film in which he plays the character ghost. Harris has done previous time in prison, and not to make light of a crime, but maybe he’s looking to match Lil’ Wayne’s time in prison, or help juice his record sales? T.I. also did a documentary about his community service efforts follow a bid in prison, so he may be looking to film season 2.
