The rivalry in the AFC heats up as the New England Patriots take on rivals the New York Jets today. The New York Jets have been much hyped heading into the season but ran into a wall last weekend against Baltimore Ravens losing 10-9. Adding insult to injury is the loss of defensive tackle Kris Jenkins who will miss the rest of the season with a torn Anterior Cruciate Ligament. He suffered this type of injury before last season. “We lost a heck of a football player,” Rex Ryan the Jets coach said. “The thing is, we did overcome him last year. Our defense rallied around the guys who were out there.”
The Jets also need to kickstart their offense that was almost non existent last weekend against the Ravens.
New England and their offense wil definitely not do the Jets any favors as Randy Moss and Quarterback Tom Brady will do their best to torch the Jets’ defense. Brady threw 258 yards and 3 TD’s last weekend in their 38-24 win against Cincinnati and will look to do the same here against the Jets.
The two teams has shown much disdain for each other and it will surely spill over to the game today. New England is going into this game as the favorites with their renewed offense and are definitely looking to stamp out the rest of the Jets hype.
